Mark Kmec was admitted to the Quebec bar in 1985. His early experience was with several Montreal firms where he was exposed to various personal and commercial law matters including business law, employment law and civil litigation.
Me Kmec then joined as senior legal counsel a national company that is publicly traded on the Toronto stock exchange. After this experience, Me Kmec returned to private practice where he returned to providing his services to individuals and entrepreneurs alike.
Me Kmec has achieved pragmatic and cost saving results for his clients based on his insight, strategic foresight, clarity of thought, mutual trust and respect and his ability to interact with individuals and business entrepreneurs.
Me Kmec has pleaded before the courts of Quebec, Superior and Appellate courts, Federal court and labour relations commission.
Me Kmec has obtained a favorable ruling from the Quebec court of Appeal that reasserted the new tendency to be applied by the courts in the analysis in the test of sufficiency of affidavit evidence regarding the granting of seizures before judgment in 2009.
Me Kmec is an arbitrator of lawyer;s accounts with the Barreau du Québec and acts as a director on the board of directors for a non-profit Montreal based corporation.
Me Kmec has been accepted and certified as a mediator by the l’Institut de Médiation et d’Arbitrage du Québec (IMAQ). The Barreau du Québec has also certified Me Kmec as a mediator in civil, commercial and labour matters and has registered Me Kmec on the lawyers’ directory of mediators on the Barreau du Québec website.
